The house is in a very quiet area. It has a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting. I dont want to say too much about our holiday time at the villa because I want you to have the pleasure of discovering it all for yourselves as we did but suffice it to say Im sure you wont be disappointed.The details of how to get there and how to find the house are included in the Information Sheet. The house itself sits on the slopes of the majestic Mount Ilya and looks out across the water to the island of Korcula. Great views from the upper balconies; lots of nice shade on the ground floor terrace; by the time you arrive there may even be grapes on the vines!The person who will show you around the house on your arrival is called Katija and she is a lovely lady with two gorgeous little girls. Her husband is a first officer in the Merchant Navy and is therefore away a lot. She will be happy to answer any questions you may have.There were six of us in the house, two couples and two single women, and there was ample room for everyone. With three bathrooms to choose from youre never locked out of the loo! Mealtimes were wonderful affairs with everyone sat around the large dining room table or eating al fresco on the terrace (especially breakfast). The terrace is also a nice place to sit in the evening with a glass of wine in hand after a meal out or a stroll up the lane. Further up Ruskovic, past the rest of the houses, the road veers around to the left and you see what appears to be the ruins of a house. If you go down the steps you will find water coming out of the ground this is fresh spring water from the top of the mountain and tastes wonderful. Feel free to take empty bottles and fill them up!Some tips on where to eat are in a notebook in the house maybe you will add some more of your own. The food is generally very nice and the portions are extra large (sometimes too large). The walk back to the house from Orebic is a very pleasant way of walking off a big meal on a balmy evening.One day we took the car ferry across to Korcula what a beautiful island! Korcula town is very picturesque with a marina, shops and restaurants as well as the walk around the castle walls. We never did find out the times of the historic sword dance though! The views back across to Orebic are just as wonderful as the other way round. Drive on to Limbada and you will find a lovely sandy beach with a little bar selling cold drinks and ice creams. If you like walking the hike up to the monastery takes about 45 minutes but the views are well worth the walk. You can of course drive up (the road turns right just opposite the tennis centre).You cannot visit Croatia without spending some time in Dubrovnik and nothing I can say about that place will be worthy of it. Just go and see for yourself.All in all we think Orebic and Croatia itself are a wonderful place for a holiday.
